We started Stupid Events after realizing we cared deeply,  maybe concerningly, about event flow, lighting, table spacing, food timing and whether guests were wandering around awkwardly with a drink and no idea where to go next. 

Our shared belief? Events should be beautiful, organized, and genuinely fun. If it’s stressful, awkward, or boring… something has gone very wrong.

Kate comes from a hospitality and event production background and has spent years planning weddings, private dinners, and high-pressure events where chaos is always lurking. She handles the timelines, logistics, layouts, and all the behind-the-scenes problem-solving that makes an event feel effortless.

Brett handles the food — aka the part everyone actually remembers. His chef-driven approach focuses on thoughtful menus, quality local ingredients, and meals that feel intentional, elevated, and worth showing up hungry for.
